Poul Kjaerholm for Kold Christensen - PK 61 coffee table

Rare desk from the School of Architects at Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts., Copenhagen, manufactured by Rud Rasmussen. Poul Kjerholm was commissioned in 1955 to design several pieces of furniture for the esteemed faculty. The resultant designs included two sizes of the desk and a chest to house drawings. The PK61 Coffee Table, designed in 1956 for Ejvind Kold Christensen, is one of Poul Kjaerholm’s best-known pieces. It was authored to complement the PK22 Armchair.
