Currently she is a freelance researcher, public speaker and lecturer at Amsterdam University College and It consisted of an exhibition, a publication (KIT Publishers, 2011), and a side program called Beyond Java, which Museum Maluku (a museum in Utrecht—closed in 2012—dedicated to the story of the Moluccans in and outside the Netherlands) and Kosmopolis Utrecht codeveloped. The exhibition was hailed in most media and brought in new audiences. A few of the main partners are the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Black Heritage Tours and Kosmopolis Utrecht. The project is mainly funded by Dutch partners, like the Mondriaan Fonds, the Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds and the Municipality of Amsterdam, but also by international partners, such as The Netherlands-America Foundation.
